Health Savings Account (HSA)
We realize that millions of Americans are spending too much for their health insurance. HSA's are a great way to lower your health insurance premiums and invest the savings into a "Medical Spending Account".
We have set up a complete HSA program to save you money. Whether you are interested in a plan for yourself, your family or your business, we can show you the benefits of an HSA. We also provide access to accident & critical illness plans (see what if... page), which protect you and your family if the unexpected happens.
How HSAs Work:
With an HSA, you divide the money you would normally spend for full coverage health insurance into two parts:
Part one:
You buy a much lower cost health insurance plan to cover major medical events-deductibles start at $1,000 for singles and $2,000 for families. Annual out-of-pocket maximums cannot exceed $5,100 for individuals or $10,200 for families.
Part Two:
Using the money you have saved by switching to a qualified high deductible health plan, you can now fund your health savings account (HSA) with tax-deductible dollars. You use these dollars to pay cash for: office visits, prescriptions, dental, vision and any other IRS eligible medical expenses. To see a list of IRS eligible medical expenses, go to FAQ's page. The money in your HSA account is yours to keep and there are NO use it or lose it provisions!
You can reimburse out-of-pocket medical expenses from the HSA - or simply save it. If you do use the money from the HSA for eligible medical expenses, it rolls over into the next year and continues to accumulate.
